What’s the best way to clean the inside of a caravan water tank to keep the water clean and sterile?

Well if sterility is what you want you cant go past bleach. Get some from a pool shop (it’s 12% whereas the stuff from the supermarket is about 4%). Dilute 1 in 3, put in a generic spray bottle and spray liberally onto the internal wall. Then rinse with copious amounts of water until the smell is gone
