I was advised to use glen 20 to get rid of a bad odour and smell in my tractor cab, I ran the fan with the door open for 20mins, then aired it out for 4.5 hours when I went to use the tractor, that awful glen 20 smell remained in the tractor, I used it for about 1hr. Since using it I’ve got a tight chest, I have mild asthma and I’ve notice im using my puffers more, my throat irrates and my lips are tingly. On the can it doesn’t say how long till you can go back into the area you sprayed for work etc

Glen20 is essentially an alcohol spray (60%). That part of it will evaporate quickly, and will certainly have dissipated within about 5 minutes. As to what is in the other 40%, my guess is that it mostly water with a bit of fragrance. As it is a sanitizer, and the alcohol is what does the sanitizing, there’d be no need to have any other actives in there. All I can suggest, therefore, is that your response is some sort of allergic response to the fragrance. Fragrances have a very intense smell, so that when they are added to a product in fractions of a percent, you can still smell them. All I can suggest is that you get some Sugar Soap in a spray pack, and use it to wipe every surface in sight. An alternative is either Mr Sheen or Coles furniture polish, as they both have fragrances of their own, which I find quite pleasant.
The odour of Glen 20 can trigger asthma attacks. Ty using isocol (google it) from Coles, it should evaporate and leave no smell. It’s the same as Glen 20 without the perfumes.
