i sprayed glen 20 on antique wooden timber. after spraying, it has since left a white stain and i can’t seem to get rid of it.

Chemistry in the real world
Actually the Glen20 is already all gone – it’s only alcohol so it evaporates quickly. What has happened is that the alcohol has dissolved some of the oils in the timber , leaving a residue after it evaporates. You’ll have to re-oil the cabinet. But I’d be chatting to a french polisher, in terms of knowing what to use – they’d know more about it than me.
