Hi Dr Chemical, I have a pair of blue/black trousers (raincoat material) that have oil based paint on them. Does acetone get this type of paint out? Will acetone fade the material?

I’d try turps first. If that doesn’t work then try acetone. Try it on an inconspicuous part of the material first, but it shouldn’t affect it
