I’ve read the answer re super glue on a laminex bench top. Should I try the same remedy you suggested – ie. a rag soaked with acetone and left for half an hour?

Yep. Stone won’t be damaged by acetone
yes – that should do it. But first test acetone on an inconspicuous area of the bench. It’s unlikely it will attack the laminex but it’s worth checking
